Material Disclaimer
Natural Stone
Natural stone is a product of nature and each slab is inherently unique. It may include variations in veining, color, grain, pattern, tone, and texture—even within the same batch. Common natural features include fissures, pits, mineral streaks, spots, tonal differences, and surface irregularities. These characteristics are not considered defects.
Customers must understand that:
No guarantee is made regarding color consistency or appearance.
Samples and showroom pieces are for reference only; the final product may differ.
These natural characteristics are not eligible for return, refund, exchange, or compensation.
Additionally, during the fabrication process, it is industry standard to fill surface voids, holes, or imperfections with resins, epoxies, or grout. These “refills” are a normal and accepted part of the finishing process and are not considered defects. The presence of filled areas in stone products does not constitute grounds for any claim or dispute.
We strongly recommend that customers personally inspect and approve the actual slabs to be used in their project prior to fabrication or installation. By confirming a purchase, customers acknowledge that they have been informed of the natural variation and characteristics of the material, and accept that the final product may vary significantly from showroom samples, photographs, or expectations.
Artificial Stone (Quartz, Solid Surface, etc)
Artificial stones are man-made materials designed to replicate the look and feel of natural stone while offering enhanced consistency and durability. These include:
- Engineered Stone (e.g., Quartz): Composed of natural stone aggregates (typically quartz) bonded with resins and pigments.
- Solid Surface: Made from acrylic resins and minerals to achieve a smooth, non-porous surface.
Although manufactured for uniformity, slight to moderate variations in color, tone, and pattern can occur due to differences in raw materials, batch production, or fabrication methods. These variations are not considered defects.
Over time, artificial stone surfaces may undergo discoloration, fading, or surface changes as a result of prolonged exposure to UV light, heat, certain household chemicals, or improper care. These are known risks and not covered by warranty. The company is not responsible for such changes.
Customers are responsible for following all care and maintenance guidelines. No returns, refunds, or exchanges will be accepted based on color/pattern variation, wear and tear, or maintenance-related issues.
Sintered Stone and Porcelain
Porcelain and Sintered Stone (also known as Ultra-Compact Surfaces) are high-performance materials created through extreme heat and pressure. They are widely used for indoor and outdoor applications due to their strength, durability, and low porosity.
These materials are generally UV-resistant and suitable for outdoor use. However, prolonged exposure to intense sunlight or environmental conditions may still lead to slight color shifts or surface changes over time. These are normal occurrences and do not qualify as defects.
Minor variations in color, texture, and finish are expected due to the production process. These characteristics are inherent and not subject to return, refund, or replacement.
As with all materials, porcelain or sintered stone may chip, crack, or wear if exposed to extreme force, rapid temperature change (thermal shock), or chemical impact.
Customers are responsible for reviewing samples and understanding material behavior before purchase. By purchasing these materials, customers accept the associated natural and manufacturing-related characteristics.
Sample and Photo Disclaimer
Product images, samples, and swatches provided on our website, via email, WhatsApp, showroom, or other channels are for illustration and reference only. While we strive for accuracy, customers must understand and accept the following:
Natural Stone
Natural stone is a product of nature; each slab is inherently unique. Vein patterns, colour intensity, tonal variation, mineral deposits, and surface movement may differ even within the same batch.
Small samples cannot fully represent the range of variation in a full slab. Customers may notice significant differences in appearance between a sample and the delivered product.
Features such as pits, fissures, mineral streaks, filled cracks, and tonal shifts are natural characteristics and not considered defects.
The appearance of natural stone may also be affected by resin filling, epoxy treatments, or polishing, which are standard in the industry.
Engineered Materials (Quartz, Solid Surface, etc.)
These products are made to simulate natural stone, but slight differences in tone, particle density, gloss level, and colour balance may occur between samples and full slabs or different production batches.
Patterns may appear more concentrated or spread out depending on cut direction, sheet size, or lighting.
Surface sheen may differ between matte, honed, and polished finishes, even on the same colour.
Sintered Stone and Porcelain
These materials may show minor shade variation, surface texture differences, or slight colour inconsistencies due to the high-temperature manufacturing process.
Differences between samples, photos, and actual pieces are to be expected, especially when comparing different production lots.
While sintered stone and porcelain is typically more consistent than natural stone, print shifts, veining direction, and gloss levels can vary slightly from batch to batch.
General Limitations
Colours shown on digital devices (phones, monitors, tablets) may differ due to screen calibration, lighting, or camera filters.
Installed material may look different depending on room lighting, wall colours, surrounding materials, or angle of view.
By placing an order, customers agree that:
- Samples and photos are for guidance only and not an exact match guarantee;
- Any differences due to natural properties or production variation are acceptable;
- These differences do not qualify for return, refund, exchange, or complaint.
We strongly encourage all customers to view actual slabs in person before fabrication or delivery, especially for natural or high-variation materials.
Fabrication Services
We offer fabrication services including cutting, edging, chamfering, polishing, sink or hob cutouts, and joining. All work will be done strictly according to the customer’s final confirmed cut sheet.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are expected to thoroughly check and confirm all drawings, specifications, and dimensions before fabrication begins.
We are not responsible for issues resulting from
- Incorrect or incomplete measurements
- Unclear, outdated, or conflicting cut sheets
- Verbal instructions or approvals
- Customer delay in confirming cut sheets or instructions
Verbal instructions are strongly discouraged. Any miscommunication, mistake, or misunderstanding caused by verbal instruction will be at the customer’s own risk and expense.
If customer-side errors result in fabrication problems, the customer will bear all material loss and re-fabrication costs.
Cut Sheet & Drawing Responsibilities
We do not offer cut sheet drafting services as part of standard fabrication-only jobs. If a customer requests us to assist in drawing or re-drawing a cut sheet, we may do so upon request only, but the customer remains fully responsible for checking and confirming all details before providing final approval.
Customers must ensure that all measurements, edge profiles, cutouts, thickness, and specifications are complete and accurate before giving written confirmation. Even if we draw based on customer references or marked samples, any oversight or mistake that is not flagged by the customer will be entirely at their own risk.
If a customer submits multiple versions of a cut sheet, we will send the latest version for final confirmation.
No fabrication will begin until explicit written approval is received.
If the customer gives unclear, incomplete, or partial confirmation, or fails to confirm, we reserve the right to place the order on hold. We will not be held responsible for any resulting delays.
If the customer confirms the cut sheet but fails to thoroughly check the details, and errors arise post-fabrication, the customer shall bear full responsibility for any material loss and re-fabrication costs. If any amendments are required after confirmation, the customer must submit a fully updated version of the cut sheet.
Verbal instructions, handwritten notes, or partial updates are not accepted.
If fabrication has already begun, the amendment will incur double fabrication charges for the affected portion.
Customers must understand that we do not verify whether the design is suitable, installable, or practical for actual site use. Our responsibility is limited to fabricating based on the customer’s final confirmed drawing.
Fabrication Mistakes by Us (Factory Error)
If a fabrication error occurs due to our fault—such as incorrect cutting, profiling, or workmanship that deviates from the customer’s final confirmed cut sheet and written instructions—we will provide a free re-fabrication of the affected item(s). This includes labour only and does not include the replacement cost of any materials, including both company-supplied and customer-supplied stone.
Customers must return the affected item(s) to our factory in order to be eligible for free re-fabrication. On-site repair or rectification is not provided, and all transportation costs, including the cost of sending the item back to the factory, shall be borne by the customer.
Please note:
- We do not compensate for material loss under any circumstances, including for Customer’s Own Material (COM).
- Customers are advised to factor this into their planning, especially when supplying rare or limited materials. If customers purchase slabs from us and request fabrication, they accept that any material loss that occurs during fabrication will still be borne by the customer.
- Free re-fabrication applies strictly to reproducing the same item as per the original cut sheet. Any requests for design changes, additional work, or modifications will be treated as a new order and charged accordingly.
- Mistakes that arise from unclear, outdated, or conflicting cut sheets, verbal instructions, or customer-confirmed errors are not considered our fault and do not qualify for re-fabrication compensation.
- We do not offer on-site repair, rectification, or modification for fabrication-only jobs. If such service is needed, we may recommend a third-party installer or technician. The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for all on-site services.
- Re-fabrication will be scheduled based on material availability, factory workload, and the complexity of the task. We will make reasonable efforts to complete it promptly but shall not be liable for delays.
Beyond free re-fabrication, we shall not be held liable for any further claims, compensation, project delays, or consequential losses resulting from fabrication errors.
Fabrication Tolerance (±5mm)
All fabrication work is carried out in accordance with standard industry practices. A measurement tolerance of ±5mm may occur due to manual measuring, cutting, and polishing processes.
Season Stone Sdn Bhd shall not be liable for minor dimensional variations within the stated tolerance, as these are considered normal in stone fabrication.
Customer’s Own Material (COM)
Customers who supply their own materials (e.g. natural stone, quartz, porcelain, sintered stone) for fabrication must understand and accept that all fabrication work involves inherent risks.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Chipping, cracking, or breakage that occurs during cutting, polishing, profiling, or edge finishing — whether caused by natural weaknesses, internal stress, hairline fissures, or the inherent brittleness of the material.
- Damage caused by fabrication equipment, vibration, tool pressure, or operator handling — regardless of the skill level or precaution taken.
- Issues resulting from non-standard sizes, irregular thickness, material warp, or previous damage not visible or known before fabrication.
We do not compensate for material loss under any circumstances, including damage caused by:
- Machine operation or malfunction
- Operator mistakes
- Unexpected structural weakness or internal flaws in the stone
- Any other issues that arise during the normal fabrication process
If any such loss occurs, the cost of replacing the material is fully borne by the customer. We will only offer free re-fabrication, but no replacement material or on-site service is included.
Customers are also responsible for ensuring that:
- The material provided is in good condition and suitable for fabrication.
- The quantity is sufficient to complete the entire fabrication scope.
- Any delay, shortfall, or redesign due to insufficient or unusable material will be at the customer’s expense, including downtime, rescheduling, or handling fees.
If customers wish to retain leftover material of a specific size, they must clearly inform us of the required dimensions before fabrication begins (e.g., “leave 3000mm x 600mm piece”). We will retain what we consider usable, but we reserve the right to dispose of small, irregular, or unusable remnants without notice or liability, we will not be responsible for any loss or compensation.
If sink or hob cutouts are needed and not specified before fabrication, and the cutout portion has already been discarded, we will not be responsible for any loss or compensation.

Orders cannot be cancelled once payment is made, except in the following situations:
- The ordered material is out of stock and no suitable alternative is available
- Production cannot proceed due to unavoidable internal issues (e.g., major machine breakdown)
Cancellation Due to Machine Breakdown or Factory Issues
In the rare event that fabrication cannot proceed due to internal issues such as machine breakdown, power outages, or other operational disruptions, and the customer requests to cancel the order, the following terms will apply:
1. If Material Has Already Been Purchased for the Order (Company-Supplied Material)
- The client is required to purchase the material that has already been ordered or procured specifically for their project.
- The cost of the material will be deducted from the deposit paid. If the deposit amount exceeds the cost of the material, the remaining balance will be refunded to the client. If the deposit amount is insufficient to cover the cost of the material, the client must pay the outstanding balance before the material can be released.
- If the client refuses to pay the remaining balance, the deposit will be forfeited, and ownership of the material shall remain with Season Stone Sdn Bhd, who reserves the right to repurpose or resell the material without further obligation to the client.
2. If Fabrication Has Already Begun
- If any part of the fabrication work has already been completed at the time of cancellation, the client is required to pay for the completed work, calculated based on the current stage of fabrication.
- Materials (whether company-supplied or COM) will only be released to the client after full payment for the completed fabrication work has been received.
- Season Stone Sdn Bhd reserves the right to withhold release of any material until all outstanding amounts are fully settled.
Delays Due to Factory Issues or Uncontrollable Events
If fabrication cannot proceed due to internal issues such as machine breakdown, power failure, or other unexpected and uncontrollable events, we will make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue promptly.
However, the company shall not be held liable for any losses, delays, damages, or additional costs incurred by the client as a result of such disruptions. This includes, but is not limited to, project delays, third-party penalties, or inconvenience caused by the postponement of fabrication or delivery.
We appreciate your understanding and patience in the event of such unforeseen circumstances and will communicate transparently throughout the resolution process.
